As we hurtle towards the end of another fantastic season, we held out final competition towards the photographer of the year.

 

Competition 6, a themed comp was "Come Rain or Shine". It was all to play for and the top of the leader board was a close call. It will be really interesting to see how last nights scores have changed the league.

 

Our judge for the evening was Susannah Jordan a decorated photographer and a member of Wigan 10. It was refreshing to have such a positive judge who understood that not all club members were professional level. She gave kind and constructive feedback, never making the photographer feel small or inadequate,. Her style of judging was engaging and held our interest as she interlaced anecdotes and humour along side the feedback and scores. A testament to what a lovely lady she was is that she will be doating her fee to a pancreatic cancer charity.

The theme was an interesting one, pushing many of us out of their comfort zones. All in all there were some fantastic images and every one rose to the challenge.
