Practical Portrait Evening (18th Jan 23)
What do you get if you cross steam punk with the Victorians?...
A great opportunity for a photo shoot. Last night we welcomed Linda and Dean a pair of models who really knew their stuff. We were most grateful to them for still making the journey, which was quite some distance, in this terrible weather.
It was a fantastic night with so much sharing of knowledge going on, a night that truly encapsulated the whole reason I chose to join a camera club.

Portrait is not, in the words of Austin Powers, my bag baby. I still had a lot of fun and hopefully have a few shots that I can do something with.
Dean and Linda were a pleasure to work with and really put you at ease, they were great at taking direction but quick to pose in their own when you ran out of ideas.
Of course, a night like that does not happen without hard work and by people willing to loan out their kit for our use, so thank you to all those involved. There is a wealth of knowledge on tap at the club and members are always happy to help each other out. Hopefully, we will continue to grow and go from strength to strength and really be a club to be rivaled.
